Board Member

I was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, but moved to South Tampa at the age of two. I grew up there and graduated from Plant High School. I then attended The University of Florida, and actually managed to graduate with two degrees by the end of my college career! I moved to Richmond, Va. and lived there for eight years. I moved back to Tampa in 1989, and worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital in the Newborn ICU at Women’s, and in the Pediatric ICU in the main hospital for the next ten years. I moved to Pinellas in 1999, and began my job at All Children’s Hospital that year.

I am still a nurse at ACH in the PACU [Recovery room] and LOVE!!! my job. It is still working with the children, but not as intense as the ICU. I moved to Maximo in 2003 after divorcing, and was very excited about my new home. I had big plans, and set out on a renovation splurge immediately. My Dad came down from Cinci to help. Two weeks into our project, I met Nigel. We met at my friend’s 40th birthday party, as Nigel’s bio explains. Little did I know that the man of my dreams really did exist! Long story short, we have been happily married for three years now after a brief long-distance love affair back and forth across the Atlantic Ocean.

We have been actively involved in our neighborhood from the onset. I joined the Homeowner’s Board in 2004, and Nigel was soon to follow. We are both very active members, and do all we can to help keep this a beautiful and safe place to live. [I hope you are all enjoying the circle flowers.] We love the enthusiasm of the people in our community, and encourage more of you to participate. The Homeowner’s Board members look forward to fresh faces and new neighbors. CHEERS!!
